POSITION: Project Engineer Level II LOCATION: Lake Charles I. SUMMARY OF POSITION: Directly responsibility for all project related activities, including P & ID's, pump and piping hydraulic calculations, schedule updates, and budget reporting II. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops Pressure/Temperature diagrams utilizing the Process Flow diagrams and equipment data sheets Develops Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams in conjunction with the Process Engineering group and the PFD's/Heat and Material Balance Performs final piping hydraulic line sizing calculations utilizing the piping isometrics Performs final pump calculations including NPSH and motor horsepower rating Develops the piping line list including specifying the type of pressure testing, insulation type and thickness, stress relieving requirements, etc. Develops the piping tie-in list Develops the piping specialty items list including preparing data sheets for all piping specialty items Performs piping minimum wall thickness calculations Schedules and participates in the Process Hazards Analysis for projects III. MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Actively pursuing registration as a professional engineer BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering 5-7 years experience as a project engineer in the petroleum industry sector Excellent written and verbal communication skills Project management skills - estimating, budgeting and scheduling a plus Available for short-term travel IV. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS: Reports to the Director of Projects Manager V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ยท Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times
