Proprietors Football Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith and Chef Rainer Schwarz and share a commitment to providing a comfortable and appealing eatery for friends and families to enjoy great food and libations. The menu featured succulent steaks and chops, such as 60 day dry-aged prime chops and Colorado Bison and A5 wagyu. Seafood items include Glacier 51 Seabass, Vietnamese Black tiger shrimp and the highest quality sashimi you can find on the Vegas strip. Emmitt's will take the concept of a classic modern bar to new heights featuring artisan and delicious handcrafted cocktails. With a wine list that focuses on California cult wines and other highly-rated, world class wines, the dining experience consists of a vibrant mix of stylish dining and lounge style settings with exceptional service. Job Summary : Assists the Chefs and Managers on duty in keeping the kitchen in clean and functioning condition, washing all equipment as needed and storing it in its proper place. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Washing Dishes: (45%) Wash dishes, glasses, pots, pans and cookware generated from the Emmitt's kitchen and dining areas. Equipment Replacement and Facility Cleanliness: (40%) Put all equipment away in the proper designated place in a timely manner, as they are cleaned so the clean items do not pile up. Perform janitorial duties as needed, including, but not limited to; keeping work are clean and sanitary, cleaning areas outside the back doors to the main and prep kitchens, breaking down boxes, emptying garbage, cleaning up broken glass, sweeping all areas inside and surrounding Emmitt's Restaurant. Clean the walk-ins, sweep; wash down walls and clean floors in accordance with set maintenance schedules. Assist Chefs: (10%) Assist chefs in minor prep work and food service on an as-needed basis. Safety Standards: (5%) Maintains safety standards and security measures relating to equipment usage as well as fire or accident hazards. Job Requirements : Education/Experience: Experience in the food service field with a thorough understanding of equipment operation and kitchen procedures. Skills: Responsible and helpful attitude at all times. Team player with a can-do attitude who can move quickly and accomplish tasks in a timely manner. Knowledge: N/A Physical: Flexibility in job functions and responsibilities and willingness to work extended hours including evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to work on feet for at least 8 hours as well as carry plates and large trays, stack glass racks, operate a dishwasher and lift and carry a case of 40#. A high standard of personal hygiene at all times.
