Civil Engineering Technician

Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified civil engineering technician in our construction and/or design groups. Description Perform on-site inspection for road construction projects. Perform field quantity measurements and calculations. Assist engineering staff with daily project documentation of work performed. Perform material testing and project materials tracking and documentation. Implement and enforce WisDOT Highway Construction Specifications. Perform periodic surveys and construction staking operations. Assist design engineers with various road design tasks. Qualifications Must be detail-oriented, neat, and organized. Must be fluent in spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. Experience with AutoCAD software and survey equipment desired. Excellent communication skills. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide own means of reliable transportation. Ability to travel, stay overnight as needed for team meetings, on-site inspections, etc. Physical ability to walk long distances, climb over rough terrain, and carry up to 40 pounds.
