El Programa Hispano Católico (EPHC) is seeking a Part-Time Extended Day Coordinator at Floyd Light Middle School. Under the general supervision and support of the Site Manager, this position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Extended Day program at their assigned school. SUN is a partnership between Multnomah County, the School District, and El Programa Hispano Católico. This position will support the SUN Site Manager in developing school-based programs addressing academics, enrichment, and recreation; develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with school staff; and connect families to resources and services that address and assist in their universal household needs. Experience working with a broad range of issues affecting Latinx community - especially issues related to youth and families. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing in Spanish and English. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data entry required. Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail. Ability to lift 40 pounds. Must have driver's license, ability to obtain automobile insurance at levels required by agency (100/300/100). Frequent driving in the Tri-County area required. Satisfactory results from civil, criminal, and motor vehicle background check required. Requires both in person and remote work. Essential Duties: Programming and Delivery Support Collaborate with key partners to design, implement, and supervise the SUN Community School Extended Day and Summer programming, including fieldtrips that meet program objectives and outcomes. Support Extended Day programming with administrative operations such as registration cycles, drafting documents, creating attendance tracking sheets, developing flyers, and assisting with other clerical tasks as assigned. Support school and SUN events such as Back to School Night, SUN Showcase evenings, and Parent-Teacher Conferences to connect families with EPHC and SUN Services. Organize and lead intake protocol for participant tracking in the county-wide data entry system (ServicePoint). Support in the recruitment of students and families for SUN programming. Attend team meetings as needed. COVID-19 Support Provide engagement services and extended-day support to at-risk students ( engage students who are missing school, underperforming, needs related to COVID-19 etc ). Provide information, service & resource linkage to families to meet COVID-19 recovery pandemic needs. Communicate COVID-19 guidance, procedures, and school response, to students and families Engage in advocacy at the school and district levels Other duties, as assigned. COMPENSATION: $19.00 an hour. By nature of our service to k-12 school districts, this position is subject to the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) mandate requiring all employees to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or qualification for a medical or religious exemption.
