Job description ABCI., a local mid-sized heavy highway civil construction company has an immediate opening for a full-time finish blade operator.A Finish Blade operator is responsible for the safe operation of heavy construction equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 5+ years of experience operating a Finish Blade (CAT M-Series Blades)GPS proficiency (Trimble)TXDOT knowledge/experience preferredSafely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights.Properly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor. Clean equipment on a regular basis.Perform job tasks in accordance with industry best practices and requirements of the equipment (lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, sitting, walking, and climbing).Effective Communication Skills (speech, vision, hearing/listening)Valid Drivers LicenseAbility to pass pre-employment drug testSome OT may be required depending on weather & project statusPerform other duties as required, directed, or as the situation dictates ABCI is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
