Outpatient Therapist - Adult Location: Punta Gorda, FL Position Summary Responsible for assessing and treating mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders. Complete thorough comprehensive assessments for adults and children, as scheduled. Development and implementation of recovery-focused service plans, which include measurable objectives stated in appropriate terms. Provide evidence-based brief and solution-focused individual, marital, family, and/or group therapy. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, per agency standards. Effectively communicate with related community service organizations. Respond to crisis situations for current caseload, as needed. Average caseload for full-time outpatient therapist is 60 - 80 patients. Able to meet standard agency expectations, based on an annualized target. (part-time target is prorated based on the number of hours worked) Required Skills/Abilities Experience working with both children and adults. Knowledge and skills providing treatment to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Ability to evaluate patient needs and provide direct services Ability to work effectively with staff, patients, community agencies, and other stakeholders. Knowledge of rules and regulations pertaining to care and treatment of individuals with psychiatric or phase of life problems; including overall treatment concepts and objectives. Computer proficiency, attention to detail, and strong oral and written communication skills. Minimum Requirements MA/MS in Human Services field. Minimum two (2) years' clinical experience. Ability to pass a level II Background clearance and drug test. Valid FL drivers' license, insurance, and safe driving record. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
