Job Overview: Wirefab is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking engineer to develop prototypes through completion. This position requires the creative use of problem-solving and analytical skills combined with proven Engineering and Manufacturing expertise to provide innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing problems. Knowledge of product design, metal fabrication, machining, tooling, fixturing, and materials will allow for best practices in providing process improvements. The ideal candidate would possess the knowledge and ability to fabricate both prototype and production tooling in support of sales and the manufacturing process Ability to understand complex geometry 2 to 5 years of experience programming, setting up, and operating precision CNC tooling Proficiency in using HAAS or compatible CNC controller Ability to understand and make edits to CN G-code and Postprocessor Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD packages, Solidworks, AutoCAD or similar Skills including workpiece control concepts, tolerance stacking, datum controls, and fixturing concepts Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect Job Type: Full-time Salary: From $68,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental Insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8-hour shift People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Ability to commute/relocate: Worcester, MA 01607: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: Tooling: 1 year (Required) CNC programming: 1 year (Required) Machining: 1 year (Required) Analysis skills: 1 year (Required) Work Location: One location
