Beck Automation, a division of The Bradbury Group, designs and creates control systems for manufacturers to interact with and control their machines. The control systems we design incorporate robotics, PLCs, electrical cabinets, VFDs, Servo Drive/Motors, feedback devices, and many other control components. As one of our Electrical/Controls Engineers, you will see through the entire process: inception, management, development, and commission. You will be an integral part of maintaining and enhancing these controls. In addition, you will get to further develop our proprietary motion control platforms: SII, Phoenix, PLCs with HMIs, 3rd Party Controls, PCs, and more. All these platforms are actively deployed in the field to control machines. We are looking for an Electrical/Controls Engineer to help work on, develop, and support our control products. Salary: $65,000 - 95,000/year Our Electrical/Controls Engineers work on the following to make this happen: Write PLC programs to control a machine/line Write HMI programs to interface the machine/line to an operator for control Create electrical diagrams Help gather analytical data from machines/lines Commission controls/lines Manage projects Design and program robotic systems Further develop embedded systems for our motion controllers controlling actual factory-floor machines Most of our products have PLC/HMI based interfaces. The skills below are necessary to be successful in the position. While we can teach some of these skills, having some formal knowledge is desired: Design/Programming: RSLogix Studio 5000 Programming HMI Layout/Design/Programming Electrical Circuit Design Work with AC Motor/Servo Motor Control Develop Operating Manuals and Troubleshooting Guides AutoCAD Electrical Design Electrical Panel Design Manage: Meetings with Clients, Vendors, and Staff to make product improvements Work with Machine Manufacturers to integrate Controls Work closely with other Engineers to Design Large Control Systems Manage Groups of People while Commissioning a Project Data Analytics: Understand Network Communication in Large Plants Use SCADA systems to gather Analytics from PLC's and other Control Systems Robotics: Industrial Robotic Programming Robotic cell design Robot Setup and PLC Integration Interfacing Robotics with Machines Safety guidelines With this job, you will oversee projects from start to finish and get results in real-time. You will be challenged and constantly working on improving your skills in an engaging learning environment. You will also have access to a team of people who are knowledgeable and will help you advance when you run into roadblocks. Travel: This position does have the opportunity for overnight travel for customer service needs (company paid).
