Description:
The Student Navigator provides academic support, advising, and resource coordination to ICHS students. Working as a team, Student Navigators provide information about academic programs and policies, help students make informed decisions, and refer students to appropriate resources. The student navigators use academic progress tracking software to determine student progress, reach out to students in need of assistance, communicate midterm progress to all students, and record all significant interactions with students. In addition to academic progress tracking and responding to students' questions and concerns, Student Navigators provide virtual proctoring support to faculty and students. Key Responsibilities: coordinating and conducting the ICHS New Student Orientation course executing periodic retention outreach to students in response to excessive absences, low course participation, and grades below the threshold for success guiding students through the college experience by providing services that comprise student advisement, academic progress review, recording, and outreach collaborating with professors to develop and coordinate retention and attrition efforts for new and continuing students. developing strategies to promote student satisfaction, persistence to graduation, job placement, and licensure. Liaising with faculty, administrators, and staff to optimize the student experience Assisting students with accessing WellConnect resources which include crisis management, financial planning, and mental health counseling. This is primarily an on-campus position at the ICHS campus in Boynton Beach, Florida with occasional weekend and evening shifts.
