Beck Automation, a division of The Bradbury Group, designs and creates control systems for manufacturers to interact with and control their machines. The control systems we design incorporate robotics, PLCs, electrical cabinets, VFDs, Servo Drive/Motors, feedback devices, and many other control components. As one of our Software Technicians, you will see through the testing, commissioning, designing, and training of our internally written Connex software. We are looking for a Software Technician to install and support our software Our Software Technicians work on the following to make this happen: Work closely with engineering on the product to test, install, and make recommendations Work with ERP and design programs to interface Help gather analytical data from machines/lines Recommend enhancements Commission software installations and updates Manage projects Our Connex software brings the plant floor and the office together. We integrate ERP systems via translators and our API. We supplement this by importing from design software packages. The skills below are necessary to be successful in the position. While we can teach some of these skills, having a general understanding is desired. Attention to detail may be one of the most important tools needed. Overview: Ethernet design and general knowledge including switches, routers, etc. Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and Teams Develop Operating Manuals and Troubleshooting Guides Electrical Panel Design is a plus RSLogix Studio 5000 Programming is beneficial but not necessary Organizational skills Interpersonal skills Communication (written and verbal) Listening (to customer needs) Positive attitude Manage: Meetings with Clients, Vendors, and Staff to make product improvements Work with customers to understand their needs Work closely with other Technicians to implement the design Manage Groups of People while Commissioning a Project With this job, you will oversee projects from start to finish and get results in real-time. You will be challenged and constantly working on improving your skills in an engaging learning environment. You will also have access to a team of people who are knowledgeable and will help you advance when you run into roadblocks. Travel: This position requires travel (company paid).
