In 1949, a small building was dedicated as the Austin Cerebral Palsy Center serving a small population of Central Texas residents. YOUR LIFE AS AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (OT) As a bilingual Occupational Therapist (OT), you diligently evaluate and assess each healthcare patient and their needs so that you can provide comprehensive care. You work with children from birth to 36 months old. As part of a family-centered team, you assist families in identifying concerns, priorities, and resources. You create a routine-based service plan for each client you serve. As time goes on, you perform continual assessments to evaluate the patient's progress and create detailed reports. You also maintain contact with the children's physicians to obtain and update necessary medical information. Meticulously, you update our human resources department with all needed documentation on a regular basis - things like updated certifications and licenses. You continually work to increase your knowledge and love to attend trainings whenever they're offered. You feel good providing excellent healthcare services that improve each patient's quality of life! WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Master's degree in occupational therapy Current registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Occupational therapist license in the state of Texas CPR and basic first aid certification Current driver's license and proof of automobile insurance Bilingual speaking abilities Covid-19 vaccination Two or more years in a related setting is preferred but not required.
