Remanufacturing Technician Based in Macomb, Michigan, Nidec CHS, a subsidiary of Nidec Press & Automation, is a world class supplier of equipment and services for the metal stamping and forming industry. Nidec CHS is currently seeking Remanufacturing Technicians to work as part of a team, typically 2-4 co-workers, rebuilding metal forming, automation, and related equipment. Each piece of equipment has unique attributes as they are assembled and rebuilt, one at a time. The work environment is skilled trades, there is no high volume or repetitive manufacturing at CHS. Job Responsibilities: Interface on a regular basis with mechanical/ electrical engineers, project managers, sales staff and customers. Disassembly, assess, repair and re-assembly machinery Must have own tools. Job specific tools will be provided by company Minimum Qualifications: Versatile skills and in-depth knowledge of: Mechanics Hydraulics Pneumatics Electronics Blue Print Reading Precision Measuring Instruments (mics, calipers, etc.) Communication skills. Careers that would have the required foundational skills that are desirable are: Press Room And Metal Stamping Equipment Machinist Diesel Mechanic Maintenance Technician Ag-Diesel Mechanic HVAC Technician Mechanic Auto Technician Robotic Technician Aviation Mechanic/Technician Manufacturing Technician Graduates from joint vocational schools and technical colleges with training in the mentioned disciplines would also have those same foundational skills.
