Maintenance Associate - Facilities Department

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Will perform skilled and semi-skilled work as part of constructing, maintaining, repairing, of equipment and facilities throughout the organization, and assist the Director of Facilities and Licensing with the supervision of the Maintenance staff. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES (Essential Job Duties ): Assists the Director of Facilities and Licensing in maintaining the operation of the physical properties and equipment of all clubs. Performs and completes a variety of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks with quality workmanship to construct, maintain, repair, or modify equipment and facilities. Ensures that all projects are completed to specifications. Safely and efficiently operates a variety of power and hand tools to complete jobs accurately and to specifications; such tools may include hammers, saws, drills, and planers. Reviews assignments/inspects worksites to determine the necessary materials, equipment, tools, and methods. Follows standard safety precautions; adheres to operator's instructions when using power tools; wears recommended protective equipment such as goggles, hearing protectors, and/or work gloves. As needed, will purchase necessary equipment and supplies approved by the Director of Facilities and Licensing. In addition, will submit all credit card receipts in a timely fashion. Performs light maintenance at sites to insure safety of members, staff, and guests. Assists Director of Facilities and Licensing with the supervision of Maintenance staff. Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience with carpentry, electrical, and plumbing required Previous supervisory experience preferred Strong verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills Detail oriented and highly organized Valid NYS Driver's License with acceptable driving record Wo rks well as a part of a team WORK ENVIRONMENT: The Employee will work primarily indoors with outdoor activities when weather permits.
