A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PLUMBING PIPE LINING TECHNICIAN As a Plumbing Pipe Lining Technician, you repair and rehabilitate damaged pipes using innovative technology. Your day begins by reviewing the work orders and assessing the condition of the pipes in need of repair. You then prepare the pipes by cleaning them using high-pressure water jetting and inspecting them to ensure that they are free of debris and blockages. Once the pipes are prepared, you apply lining material using specialized equipment. Then, you cure the lining using heat or UV light, which creates a new pipe within the old one, eliminating the need for costly and disruptive replacement. You also ensure that the work area is clean and safe throughout the process and that all equipment and materials are properly maintained and stored. Using your strong customer service skills, you regularly interact with clients to explain the repair process and answer any questions they may have. You also work closely with your team to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
