General Summary: MEI Telecom Services Company is currently seeking a full-time Fixed Wireless Technician. MEI is an established local telecommunications company. We offer competitive salary and benefits including SEP IRA, medical, dental, and vision coverage. Job Description: General installation, Maintenance, and repair of a fixed wireless network including: Business and residential installation and configuration of CPE (customer premise equipment) including radio, associated CAT5 cabling, and router Trouble shooting customer and network equipment Base station installation, configuration, and maintenance Backhaul/microwave installation, configuration, and maintenance DC power installation and configuration A qualified candidate should have: High School Diploma or equivalent General computer knowledge and the desire to build on that knowledge Mechanical aptitude The knowledge of hand and power tools and the ability to use them The ability to climb and work at heights exceeding 150 feet (training and certification is provided) The ability to carry and use a 24' fiberglass extension ladder The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a team environment Ability to clearing communicate with customers and other members of the team A clean driving record and a valid drivers license The ability to maintain a flexible schedule and be part of an on-call schedule A qualified candidate would benefit from having: Network certifications and or a computer science degree Knowledge of VOIP (voice over IP) Tower climbing certification Knowledge of licensed microwave Knowledge of LTE platforms and technologies Knowledge of unlicensed radio platforms A commercial drivers license (CDL) Boom truck certification and or knowledge MEI is willing to train the right candidate for long term success with our company
