Position: Mechanical Engineer Location : Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Security Clearance: Active clearance or eligible to obtain; U.S. citizenship required Salary: $85,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on education and -experience Benefits Include: Competitive salaries, bonus potential, PTO, insurance, 401k, profit sharing, tuition reimbursement, flex scheduling Travel : 5% Job Summary for Mechanical Engineer SURVICE Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to specialize in design, configuration, and alignment of equipment, fixtures, and sensors, and data reduction and reporting for laboratory experimental projects on helicopter transmission and their components. This work will be in support of our U.S. Army Research Laboratory customer . In this position you will: Design appropriate couplings and adapters for various transmission gearboxes Draf component- and assembly-level CAD packages Operate typical research laboratory equipment (e.g., MTS load frames, dynamometers, data acquisition equipment) Specification, installation, and usage of sensors (e.g., vibration, accelerometers, thermocouples, flow meters, torque meters, pressure sensors) Prepare and present written documents summarizing efforts . Minimum Required Education/Qualifications for Mechanical Engineer BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physical Sciences and 5 to 8 years of experience or MS and graduate level experience.
