Viterbo University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in Psychology beginning August 2023. Seeking teachers/scholars to offer a combination of courses in undergraduate Psychology. Applicants should have the ability to teach courses in General Psychology, Research Methods, and Cognitive Psychology. Additional expertise in neuroscience and the ability to teach courses such as Brain and Behavior or Psychopharmacology is considered a plus. Full-time faculty advise students, demonstrate scholarly habits, and serve on department and university committees. Candidates demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic Franciscan mission of Viterbo University, social justice, equity, and inclusion. The full-time teaching load is 12 credits per semester. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Psychology. ABD candidates who have a scheduled defense date prior to August 2023 are encouraged to apply. Preference is given to candidates with prior teaching experience. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Viterbo University is unable to sponsor or take over the sponsorship of the Employment Visa. Rank and Salary: Appointment is at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (for those with relevant experience and qualifications) with a nine-month academic year appointment beginning August of 2023. Salary is competitive with other private institutions of similar size, mission, and educational philosophy.
