Position: Facility Maintenance Specialist As one of two Facility Maintenance Specialists we are currently seeking to hire, you will be the oil that keeps the bases running. You will be responsive to repair and maintenance requests while keeping your focus on the priority tasks in the work packet, you'll work well autonomously, and you'll be a friendly, professional resource for your fellow coworkers. Life On The Job This position will be scheduled to work one-week or two-week rotations, typically for the full rotation in one of our eight locations. You will usually know where you're going for your next rotation by the end of the current one, but as you know, things come up and work priorities may change, so we'll keep you as informed as possible while respecting your scheduled time off.Typically, you'll start from your home location in either the Anchorage or Kenai area and travel to your assigned location based on the work packet developed by the VP of Station Operations. While you'll often take requests for other projects from coworkers at each station, you'll usually capture any additional requests in the system we use to track issues and projects so the VP of Station Ops can prepare for that job while you finish the work in your work packet. A few examples of duties that would need to be completed are repairing damaged interior walls, installing ceiling tiles, painting, replacing appliances or electrical components, and coordinating with contractors as needed on bigger projects. You'll use your communication and service skills to provide exceptional customer service to our internal customers, as we believe a commitment to our internal customers is critical so they can give the same great service to our customers.
