Noon Aide/Recess Monitor for the 2023-2024 School Year Location: South Mountain Job Type: Part time Salary Range : $15/hr. ABOUT THE POSITION The Noon Aide/Recess Monitor will be needed for the 2023-24 school year. As a Noon Aide/Recess Monitor, you are expected to work outside, and be responsible for proper supervision at recess. You will also: Report any difficulties or unusual problems to the teachers and other school personnel You must be able physically capable of prolonged standing, walking and stooping May direct students in gathering materials, games, balls, or other items to be used during the activities Be able to give special attention to safety factors when weather or other circumstances occur Immediately report any injury or unusual problems to the professional staff Convey positive communication/interactions with the scholars Restricting students from inappropriate behavior Dismiss classes in an orderly manner at the scheduled times Checking the playground daily, and appropriately addressing ground and equipment hazards Responding appropriately to emergencies MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Experience with young children Fingerprint Clearance Card NOTICE OF NON-DISCRIMINATION Sun Valley Academy provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
