The Fleet Manager will oversee and maintain the organizations fleet of cars, trucks, and specialized vehicles. Duties/Responsibilities: Ensure fleet operations runs safe and efficient Comply with U.S DOT and FMCSA laws and regulations Develop schedules and procedures for and ensures adherence to routine maintenance and non-routine repair of all vehicles in the company's fleet Collaborate with supervisors and team members to manage and reduce expenses such as those for fuel and labor costs Establish a schedule for recommended replacement of fleet vehicles Make sure vehicles are clean, well-maintained and in optimal condition to maintain value Maintain detailed record of vehicle service and inspection Prepare and implement departmental budget Manage lease agreements for all leasing companies Review and manage driver safety policies to reduce incidents of injury and vehicle repair causing downtime and liability concerns Develop strategies for greater fuel efficiency Performs other related duties as required Required Skills/Abilities: Extensive knowledge and understanding of fleet management and operations Excellent managerial and supervisory skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prepare and adhere to a budget and to monitor and reduce expenses Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred Five years of experience in fleet maintenance or repair with two years in a supervisory role Valid driver's license Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time Be able to read, write and communicate in English effectively EMS is committed to providing a clean work environment with masks, hand sanitizer, and gloves.
