A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROJECT MANAGER As a Project Manager, you manage all steps of the project development process. You spend a good portion of your time developing execution strategies and conducting final negotiations, as well as ensuring our schedule is approved before any given project begins. Each day is busy as you work to ensure the effective execution of strategies for our projects. Working closely with your engineering team, you lead the crew to achieve the cost, schedule, quality, and safety targets that have been approved. Throughout the day, you can be found managing any project deviations and defining effective claim strategies for partners, customers, subcontractors, and others. You prepare and conduct project reviews, site briefing meetings, and debriefing meetings. You make yourself available to your team, providing guidance and support to those in need. Leading by example, you participate in continual learning activities to keep yourself and your team up to date. Ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of success is your top priority, and you're filled with satisfaction at the end of each day, knowing you've done your part to keep our clients happy! QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PROJECT MANAGER Bachelor's from an accredited institution in mechanical, electrical, automation engineering, or a related field with 3 years of experience in a Lead project engineering role; OR a combination of education and experience; OR a technical diploma in drafting or mechanical engineering along with 7 years of experience. Knowledge and experience in grain and food processing Proficiency using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SAP Ability to speak and understand English Ability to travel domestically and internally 15% of the time Essential skills: Project Management - defines outcomes and expectations based on customer requirements and ensures customer satisfaction. Leadership - displays confidence and industry knowledge, while remaining approachable in a variety of situations. Teamwork - works collaboratively with a group of employees in order to achieve a common goal. Planning/Organizing - sets clear goals and functions effectively under tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and other pressures. Judgement/Decision Making/Problem-Solving - gathers and analyzes information, identifies goals, explores solutions, implements action plans, and evaluates results. Managing Risk - takes actions in which the benefits of the effectiveness to service delivery are weighed against potential risks. Detail Orientation - ensures information is complete and accurate. Interpersonal - works collaboratively with a group of employees to achieve a common goal. Oral and Written Communications - presents information, analyses, and ideas in writing in a clear and concise manner; speaks clearly so that others can understand what is being said. 3D Mechanical and Architect proficiency is preferred, as well as experience using Gantt charts.
