We are looking for a software engineer to join the Sonatech software team. Must be a self-motivated individual with experience writing clean and maintainable software that will be used in embedded SONAR systems. Job Description and Key Responsibilities This position reports to the Software Engineering Supervisor. The software engineer will design and develop complex application software in support of next generation SONAR systems design and development. Key responsibilities: Design, implement and maintain complex application software in a Real Time environment Take ownership of existing application software so code can be updated and maintained as needed Thoroughly document and support implemented code Participate in the complete life cycle of a project Required Education and Basic Experience B.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Strong C, C++, and C# skills Experience with Real Time operating systems 3+ years professional experience in software development Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required Citizenship and Security Clearance US Citizenship is required Secret or Ability to obtain clearance Preferred Skills Experience in Windows application GUI development with Visual Studio Experience with common communication buses such as SPI, I2C, and UART Experience with Ethernet based solutions Familiarity with embedded Linux operating system Experience with object-oriented design Able to work in a collaborative environment Salary Range: $75,000 - $125,000 Sonatech is an EEO/AA/Disability/Vets Employer.
