We are looking for a 3rd shift Occupational Nurse. The shift runs from 10pm to 6am Sundary - Thursday. Pay varies based on experience. JOB SUMMARY: Provide and deliver cost effective nursing care and health and safety services to employees, customers, and others with minor injuries and illnesses. Provide emergency care, assist in the preparation of accident reports, and arrange for further care if necessary. Offer health counseling and assess work environments to identify potential health or safety problems. Responsible for providing professional support of employee health programs, company loss-control programs and in-plant medical assistance programs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Include but are not limited to the following: Prefer candidate chosen has working knowledge of the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation system Family medical leave act (FMLA) Familiar with OSHA standards and requirements as it pertains to the positions Working knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a High School Diploma or GED Must have current RN, LPN license, or licensed EMT Minimum 2 years experience Knowledge of OSHA requirements, Worker's Compensation, and manufacturing work environments Working knowledge of computers and commonly used software The ability to handle confidential information in accordance with HIPPA guidelines Complete CPR, Bloodborne Pathogen, First-Aid and AED training. Behavioral Characteristics: Respectful Responsible Approachable Calm Reliable Trustworthy Positive "Can-do" attitude Willing and able to learn new skills Open to change and able to work with all departments Physical Activity & Demands Stands and/or walks 5-10% on a concrete floor, sits 90-95% of the work time. Must be able to move about the plant freely to include navigating steps Must be able to lift 30 pounds without assistance and 75 pounds with assistance Must have precise coordinated movements of the fingers of both hands to grasp and manipulate small objects Must make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, twist and reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs Must be comfortable working in a loud, highly fragrant industrial environment Work Environment A normal, inside, factory work environment, variable heating, cooling, drafts, operating machinery/equipment noises. Exposed to variable intensities of heat from equipment/melted waxes, odors from candle scents. Personal space is in a typical office area within a high-volume manufacturing and distribution facility.
