Assistant Treasurer

Description:
The Director of Corporate Treasury will provide overall direction and coordination of the treasury functions of the organization, including development and implementation of the Treasury, Cash Management and Risk Management functions for Luminex's global businesses and operations. Responsible for building relationships within the Finance team and across the Company to facilitate oversight of corporate cash management and credit administration. Maintaining external communication with pertinent financial institutions to drive continued efficiencies. This leader will also be expected to determine the potential impacts of global economic and financial market conditions, and regulatory developments on the company's activities. Responsibilities Research, evaluate, forecast, and direct Luminex's cash and financing needs, ensuring funds are available to meet the company's ongoing operational and capital investment requirements. Managing the overall banking relationships and optimizing globally to improve cash management and costs. Directs and controls all activities and systems involving the management of global cash resources. This will include understanding the foreign exchange exposures that exist and that arise, as well as recommending strategies for hedging such exposures. Maintain the 13-week cash forecast to ensure sufficient liquidity across legal entities and optimize cash repatriation opportunities and provide monthly variance analysis to the CFO. Complete weekly Borrowing Base Certificate (BBC) and anticipate the movement of the BBC to ensure appropriate funds are being drawn & advanced to optimize cash flow. Coordinate with cash management to support Treasury & Tax initiatives to optimize global business opportunities and cash flow. Assist Luminex CFO with activities in support of optimizing capital structure. Oversee meeting debt compliance requirements, monitoring pro forma covenant projections to indicate potential non-compliance. Coordinate with the CFO to assist in the development of presentations for use with potential debt or equity partners. Managing Risk Management and exposure for all Luminex businesses, leading the annual renewals of the commercial insurance coverages and managing the external broker relationship, ensuring all significant exposures are known and have either insurance coverage or acceptable business risk. Develop annual budget and current forecast for Interest Income/Expense; prepare monthly variance analysis for Interest, FX, and others. Support the international finance teams with bank account management, funding, and foreign exchange transaction. Assist business units in optimizing working capital utilization. Support CFO with ad hoc treasury-related analyses. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) and ten years of business-related progressive experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and relevant business experience, including international business. Master's degree (MS/MA) and six to eight years of business-related progressive experience preferred. Previous experience working in a fast-paced, private equity environment is essential.
