Guitar Teacher 7-12 Private Music Lesson Program Reports To: Music Lesson Program Director Employment Status: Part Time- Hourly - Non-exempt; Starting August 2022 and following the school calendar Job Summary: Private lessons are given during the school day, so teachers must be able to coordinate lesson times that do not conflict with essential classroom learning blocks. A schedule of allowed times will be provided at the beginning of each school year, but due to the sometimes fluid nature of classroom schedules as well as enrichment days, flexibility is required. Weekly practice directions and frequent communication with parents are expected of studio teachers to ensure the progress of students. Qualifications: Highly engaging, enthusiastic, and motivational teacher with a desire to build strong relationships with students and their families. Must be a committed Christian who is comfortable in a multi-denominational Christian community. Requirements: Degree(s) in Performance and/or Music Education with experience teaching a private studio. Strong communication and technology skills. MENTAL FUNCTIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile and negotiate.
