With the belief that they were there when we needed them, so we must be there now that they need us , Veterans Inc., the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England is seeking to fill the Custodian position and become a valued member of the Veterans Inc. team! This position will be responsible for general janitorial and custodial work in our headquarters building. Schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 10:00 am-6:00 pm WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY: Clean, dust and sanitize all main areas of Headquarters and offices spaces/rooms. Wash windows, woodwork, toilets/lavatories, washrooms, and fixtures. Maintain floors and carpets, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and shampooing Empty and clean waste barrels, garbage cans, and other receptacles. Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks, assist with snow removal Must be appropriate and respectful when interacting with clients, visitors, employees, coworkers, and supervisors. Assist with installing any cooling or heating equipment when appropriate. Assist with snow removal. Performs other duties as required. WHAT YOU MUST HAVE: High school diploma or equivalent Demonstrated knowledge and experience working as a custodian Experience working in health care or patient setting highly preferred Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check. Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
