What You'll Do: As the Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot and perform maintenance on heavy production equipment, with some facility maintenance, to ensure a safe and continual operation within the facilities. Your Accountabilities in The Role: Reviews priorities with the Shift Supervisor and through a daily walk-around to set critical activities for the day. Performs general, complex, and preventative maintenance on production press and fabrication equipment to enhance the life of the equipment as well as eliminate/reduce downtime. Assists with general facility maintenance, as needed, to support the team. Works with the operators and maintenance staff to ascertain problems with equipment for quick resolution. Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical problems on equipment in an efficient way. Researches and adds updated/enhanced parts to machinery to enhance output and efficiencies for the area(s). Sets or edits parameters within the electrical controls for more efficient operation of the production equipment. Handles maintenance work orders in the system to track progress, time on task, and up-coming priorities. Participates and adheres to all company, lean, safety, and environmental policies and programs for an efficient and safe workplace. Position Requirements: Education: High School diploma or GED; or will consider someone with specialized training or experience in Industrial Maintenance Experience: 3-5 + years of industrial maintenance experience on heavy machinery and equipment. Certification(s): N/A Functional Skills: Above average mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair general mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatics, ladder logic and PLC controls, electrical, and other related equipment needs. Prior experience with forklifts and scissor cranes is important, as well as knowledge of safety requirements in the maintenance field is also important. Ability to read prints and understand schematics is also needed for this role. The position also requires an advanced problem-solver; someone who pays close attention to detail and has the ability to plan, prioritize & utilize time efficiently. Some understanding of Lean thinking and 5S helpful. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Basic PC skills is required. Language Skills: Solid written and verbal communication skills Leadership/Behaviors: Ability to work independently and is safety-minded to create and maintain a safety culture is required; collaborative; solid communicator; someone who is flexible, agile and able to move from project to project effectively to meet production goals. Other Important Information: Position Status & Salary : Hourly pay ranges from $25.00 - $34.00 / hr. based on proven skills! And, t he compensation will grow as the team member grows! Reports To : Maintenance Manager Core Hours : Monday through Saturday; 3rd shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am; Six Days a week (includes OT); 1 Sunday per month; Company works with the team to provide flexibility for personal needs, where possible. Travel : n/a Work Conditions: Lifting up to 50 - 75 lbs.; will climb ladders and drive forklifts and scissor lifts. COVID Protocol : COVID Vaccine Not Required
