SBA Lending Manager Countybank | Greenville, SC What We're Looking For Countybank is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to serve as SBA Lending Manager. The SBA Lending Manager reports to the Chief Banking Officer. The associate in this position will be responsible for managing and supervising sales, operations, and administration of the Bank's SBA Lending department. The SBA Lending Manager must be a reliable resource for identifying and assisting SBA loan officers in producing loans involving the SBA. This position has direct involvement with the entire SBA lending process, including client contact (as needed), and proper structure and compliance with all SBA SOPs to ensure that the highest quality of service and efficiency is delivered for Countybank. This position will also be responsible for promoting and educating bank officers regarding SBA Lending products throughout the organization and will work closely with leadership of business banking, retail, and commercial banking officers, as well as external centers of influence, on business development efforts to drive SBA loan growth to fully comply with SBA and bank guidelines.Confidentiality and a commitment to embracing Countybank's corporate culture while serving clients, communities, and fellow associates are essential to the success of this position. Essential Job Functions and Requirements Knowledge and proficiency about all aspects of SBA Lending, including policies, procedures, and guidelines, as well as Countybank's underwriting guidelines. Regular attendance at seminars and other outside training to stay current on all SBA and other lending program guidelines, and proper communication of all developments and changes to Countybank and appropriate personnel. Consistent resource of knowledge and help for the SBA lending officers and SBA department administrators for all aspects of the SBA loan process. Availability to engage in client contact with SBA lending officers and engage in contact with SBA officials when needed to resolve issues that help complete the loan process. Responsibility for researching questions to obtain clear and accurate answers to communicate to SBA lending officers, processors, and clients. Proficiency in the development of departmental budgets and ongoing budget management and strategic planning. Management of the loan process from initial customer contact through approval and funding; provide assistance to other bank officers with production of all SBA loans - including meeting with clients, structuring SBA loan proposals, packaging loan applications, coordinating communication and tracking for approval, and working with officers and clients through loan closing. Oversight of post-closing activities including portfolio management, servicing actions, and workouts. Responsibility for maintaining a thorough understanding of SBA eligibility, policies, and structure, bank credit policies, and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of accurate and complete loan application packages. Knowledge and proficiency in dealing with all regulatory matters as they relate to SBA lending. Skills & Education Requirements Associate or bachelor's degree in business or related field required; 5 - 10 years banking, with concentrations in SBA Lending; or any equivalent combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Proficient knowledge and ability in underwriting and structuring SBA loans involving all manner of eligible uses of proceeds. Previous experience in the approval, structuring, and closing of SBA loans including a strong understanding of SBA Policies and Procedures and regulatory requirements. Detailed working knowledge of the SBA Standard Operating Procedures Knowledge of servicing and portfolio management for SBA loans Intermediate to High level of proficiency with MS Office Excellent client (internal and external) service skills Excellent communication skills and proven track record of exceptional personnel management.
