Title: Patient Registration Employment Type: Full Time Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM City: Silvis State: Illinois We care about our employees! Position Responsibilities: Performing opening office duties including unlocking doors; p erforming closing office duties including locking doors Preparing overnight ER patient charts and printing daily appointment lists Greeting patients and making them feel welcome in our clinic Accurately updating patient demographics; updating and verifying insurance eligibility Collecting payments and copayments; performing daily cash box reconciliation Directing or assisting patients in completing appropriate paperwork Checking out patients and scheduling follow-up appointments when necessary Straightening and maintaining a clean waiting room Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is required Experience in a medical office setting is preferred Previous customer service experience is preferred Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills Ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately Knowledge of personal computer applications and Electronic Medical Record Ability to travel to other ORA locations as needed ORA Orthopedics is the Quad Cities' largest and most comprehensive orthopedic provider, proudly offering an integrated continuum of orthopedic care that includes orthopedic sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our Urgent OrthoCARE clinics, diagnostic imaging, bracing, physical therapy, pharmacy and outpatient surgery.
