Financial Services Analyst and Program Supervisor This position is a full-time, 261-day position. The position comes with 20 vacation days, 10 sick days, 3 personal days and 15 holidays per fiscal year. Full medical, dental and vision benefits are effective the first day of employment with a monthly premium share of only $65. The position pays $65,000 annually working 35 hours per week and requires a minimum contribution of 8.5% of gross income to the PSERS retirement system. Position Summary: The Financial Services Analyst/Program Supervisor provides the Finance Director / Assistant Director with strong leverage and support in the primary areas of the Financial Services Department. This role will provide support and supervision to Financial Services staff to ensure the quality and accuracy of activities within the department. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline 3-5 years of relevant experience within a finance role Desired Qualifications: Master's Degree in Finance or related discipline Strong financial and accounting acumen A working knowledge of payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Supervision of Financial Services Controllers Clerical Surge Support (Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable / Payroll) Controller of Financial Services support and backfill Consultation and coordination with program, school, and PDE personnel in regard to budgets, forecasting, and reporting of financial information. Finance Director / Assistant Director support for inquiries and requests as needed Maintenance of financial data stored in various formats. Assist in developing and monitoring of program budgets and oversee the accurate and timely collection of appropriate programmatic and fiscal data and submission to appropriate parties in accordance with project and IU guidelines. Ensure all expenditures conform to local, state and federal regulations. Responsible for the oversight of internal controls and audit procedures. Current and working knowledge of UG, GASB and other compliance regulations. Assume all other duties as assigned by the Director / Assistant Director of Finance. Performance Factors/Job Competencies: Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to explain complex financial data to key members of the organization. Manage personnel to accomplish board and individual goals. Strong leadership and data analyzation skills to drive decision making for the department. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Capable of working independently on tasks with no supervision. Knowledge of state and federal laws that impact finance as it relates to the organization. Must be able to effectively listen to others and develop solutions to financial inquires. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. Incumbent must be able to sit at desk for extended periods of time. This role routinely uses standard office equipment with frequent use of computers to accomplish daily tasks. Due to travel outside of the home office, candidates are required to have a vehicle and valid driver's license to attend job related duties, meetings, seminars, and trainings.
