The City of Clayton Parks and Recreation Department is seeking applicants for the position of Seasonal Maintenance Worker-Parks . The City of Clayton is proud to provide world class service levels to a community which values the contributions of the professional team. Comprised of approximately 185 full-time and over 200 part-time and seasonal employees, the average full-time employee tenure is over ten years! The City's Parks and Recreation Department's Mission is " To improve the quality of live for our citizens through the provision of comprehensive leisure services and recreational opportunities to individuals of all ages, abilities, and interests in a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment. " The Department of Parks and Recreation is divided into two divisions - the Recreation Division and the Parks Division. The Parks Division is responsible for effective and efficient maintenance services for park grounds, recreational facilities, park equipment and vehicles, park landscaping services, construction projects and special event support for the Recreation Division and the City of Clayton. The Seasonal Maintenance Worker-Parks position is primarily responsible for assisting the Park maintenance staff in Cleaning park facilities, litter removal, maintaining landscape beds, ball field preparation,and general park maintenance. The Seasonal Maintenance Worker-Parks work will primarily be done out of doors in potentially extreme hot cold conditions.
