P rincipal Manufacturing is seeking a Tool Room Coordinator to join our team in Broadview, IL. As a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping and plastic injection molding, Principal Manufacturing sets itself above the competition. The Tool Room Coordinator will support the Toolroom Department and safeguard the Company's die component investment by maintaining the optimal level of spare tooling inventory and tool room supplies. Additionally, the position ensures that all tools are accounted for and ensures that the status (ready/ not ready) is maintained and communicated. Responsibilities: Plex (ERP) utilization and data collection monitoring Monitoring die component inventory, control and purchase components Manage Tool Room outside processing (heat treat, polishing, etc.) Manage component inventory library Manage Die location library Follows all company safety rules, procedures and quality requirements and maintain work area clean and orderly within lean guidelines. Required to pick up and drop off to suppliers as needed (McMaster, welder, engraver, etc.) Request quotes for outsourcing Run prints for toolmakers Collect quality data on tryouts Assist researching lost die location and documentation Inspect incoming material/services Order and stock Tool Room materials and supplies Manage press ring inventory Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Education Basic mathematic skills. Basic understanding of machining and hand tools. Basic computer skills Organizational skills Forklift certification is preferred but not required. Problem solving skills Previous work experience with ERP systems Principal Manufacturing is an equal opportunity employer.
