Clarke of Schaumburg, IL is seeking to hire a Seasonal Production & Manufacturing Assistant that will be responsible for assisting Clarke's team of Formulators with the production and manufacturing of Company product. This may include, but is not limited to, filling and labeling jugs, preparing product for shipment and distribution, moving stock and cleaning the warehouse as needed as well as other general labor activities. WORK SCHEDULE AND SALARY This position earns a competitive wage of $17/hr (shift differential). and generally works 2PM-10:30PM, Monday-Friday (end times may vary based on business needs). The Seasonal Production/Manufacturing Assistant works on average a 40+ hour work week and supports the winter seasonal operation (Expected through May). A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SEASONAL PRODUCTION & MANUFACTURING ASSISTANT As a Production & Manufacturing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing general support to the production staff on a daily basis. Your contributions will provide immediate results as you safely fill jugs and containers with product, ensure products are labeled properly, and prepare/stock product for shipment. Lastly, you have excellent attention to detail and safety as you perform daily inspections of equipment to verify working condition and communicate any issues to your supervisor. When you are not providing production support, you are maintaining the work area and equipment, documenting daily work activity to ensure completion, and following safe work practices and procedures at all times. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SEASONAL PRODUCTION & MANUFACTURING ASSISTANT Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred Must be 18 years of age or older Possess a high school degree or equivalent with high school level math skills Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms Have a valid Drivers License with an excellent driving record Ability to bend and lift approximately 50-100 pounds on a regular basis Experience with operating a forklift is a plus Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications Must be able to wear a respirator, when required, while performing necessary duties Must be available to work through the end of our season (September/October or later) Candidate must be comfortable performing assigned duties in a manufacturing environment.
