Safe Alliance Victim Advocate Supervisor The Victim Advocate Supervisor supports the agency by providing hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault by supervising advocates and interns, and providing direct client services. Responsibility/Accountabilities Client Care- Using trauma-informed, client-centered approach: Work with Supportive Services Manager to ensure availability of client services to victims by assisting in the management of the daily operations of 120 bed residential facility. Provide direct client care by maintaining an advocacy caseload for residential clients. Co-facilitate adult psycho-educational, life skills/social skills, and supportive groups, varying content to respond to residents' identified needs. Support effective delivery of services through crisis intervention, safety planning, and assessing client needs by telephone or in person as necessary including responding to hotline calls and providing on-call support to Shelter staff. Resolve residential conflicts while maintaining a safe environment. Act with client in mind and work to meet client needs and expectations to the extent possible. Provide crisis intervention and safety planning services to support residents in person or by telephone as necessary, including responding to hotline calls and providing on-call support to Shelter staff. Work in conjunction with key community partners. Address client complaints/grievances. Develop procedures for and manage the delivery of client services. Identify gaps in service delivery and/or barriers to service delivery, and recommend system advocacy priorities to Supportive Services Manager and Director of Shelter Services. Administration Recruit, train and supervise qualified staff and interns, working specifically to support staff and mitigate potential impact of secondary or vicarious trauma. Provide primary supervision of assigned staff. Maintain accurate, up to date client, program and agency records, including timely reporting of monthly statistics. Work to ensure goals and outcomes for program are met. Record and report program statistics accurately and in a timely fashion. Manage grant reporting and grantor relationships, as assigned by supervisor . Adhere to agency procedures concerning Documentation, Critical Incident Reports and Client Satisfaction surveys and participate in the Quality Assurance process. Develop program response to Quality Assurance process to promote continuous quality improvement. Ensure that employee time is entered into timekeeper system accurately; timesheets are according to established deadlines; and office is staffed appropriately. Stewardship Promote an agency culture that encourages top performance and high morale. Increase community awareness of victimization, prevention, and available resources through public speaking and media requests as assigned by supervisor. Support agency mission by participating in agency and community meetings and committees as requested by supervisor. Work with Supportive Services Manager to identify program development opportunities and implement new program services. Promote and maintain professional relationships with agency staff, volunteers, and community partners. Facilitate volunteers through training, scheduling and support as needed. Participate in strategic planning. Professional Development Contribute to quality services by staying informed of developments and trends in the area of trauma and victimization, especially as it relates to intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and child maltreatment. Maintain and develop skills and knowledge by attending training, especially as it relates to victimization and trauma; ensure licensure and certifications are up to date as needed for the job. Minimum Requirements Safe Alliance may still be subject to government mandated vaccine requirements and testing as outlined by the OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard. All applicants must be willing to submit proof of vaccination status or test weekly. Bachelor's Degree 4 years related experience Preferences Master's Degree preferred Experience working with victims Experience in human services Residential experience preferred Spanish speaking preferred- If hired as a Spanish speaking candidate, employee must be fluent in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish.
