ABOUT SPECIALTY UNDERWATER SERVICES Specialty Underwater Services (SUS) is an emergency based Industrial Diving & Heavy Marine Construction Company; to include Marine Maintenance, Repairs, Construction, and Inspection services. We have the ability to successfully perform projects as a General/Prime Contractor or as a Subcontractor. As a Dive Supervisor at SUS, you will be directly contributing to our success. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIVE SUPERVISOR In this Dive Supervisor role, you will be performing operational and administrative tasks related to leading and supervising divers. The following list of functions is not inclusive of all job duties but is intended to give you an idea of what the job entails. Duties/Responsibilities: Set up dive stations and perform pre-dive and post-dive checks. Ensure our access and egress are secure and safe to operate. Conduct job safety meetings (JSA/ HSA/ Toolbox Talks). Complete and process all employee and job-related paperwork. Track time and quantities on projects. Transport gear, equipment, and materials to the jobsite. Understand and work within project's detailed scope-of-work to maintain strict compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and corporate policies and procedures. Work safely during all phases of performing the job duties required in the field. Perform routine maintenance of underwater life support equipment. See attached job description for more details. Requirements: We are looking for someone with a positive attitude to work with our team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience . Along with those qualities, the following are requirements of the job. Ability to read and comprehend drawings and plans. Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment. Ability to safely drive and perform safety checks on vehicles. Ability to understand and comply with company and client safety standards. Ability to perform work inside areas of varying dimensions; involving squatting and crawling for possibly extended periods of time. Ability to work outside, year-round in all weather conditions. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects, and construction diving. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances, in addition to completing underwater construction activities. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor. Education/Required Training: Must hold the following licenses/certifications : Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle Commercial Dive School Diploma Current ADC Dive Physical (Physicians Signature) Current CPR/First Aid/AED (Adult), from a certified Red Cross facility or equivalent (online certifications are NOT accepted) Current Emergency O2 Certificate, from a certified Red Cross facility or equivalent (online certifications are NOT accepted) The following is a list of preferred credentials : Current TWIC Card Current Blood Borne Pathogen Certificate Current HAZWOPER, OSHA 10 Hour or OSHA 30 Hour Certificate Rigging Certification/Training Current ADC Card ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR DIVE TEAM?
