A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FINANCIAL ANALYST As a Financial Analyst, you use accounting, finance, and business knowledge along with your good judgment to drive our financial success. It's a good thing that you have an analytical mind because you spend much of your time interpreting information. Utilizing Excel, you create complex models and capture key business drivers, forecast and monitor the capital and operational budgets, and calculate KPI's to measure performance and identify opportunities for growth. Occasionally, you support the accounting team with transaction processing to ensure timely and accurate financial results.While you do spend a lot of time analyzing information, sharing and explaining your findings to our CFO, COO, and department leaders is an equally important part of your job. The information you provide allows us to make strategic decisions. When it comes to key stakeholders, you ensure ongoing communication and dialogue. You strive to improve the data gathering, visualization, and presentation processes, automating whenever possible. You drive improvements in reporting accuracy, timeliness, and insightfulness. You get a great deal of satisfaction out of ensuring that our country club has the revenue necessary to continue serving our members at the highest level! QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.• 1+ years of FP&A experience with experience in the hospitality industry a plus.• Advanced Excel skills, including experience with data analysis.• Ability to work with large data sets and extract meaningful insights.• Broad understanding of finance and accounting principles.• Excellent organizational and follow up skills.• Creative and resourceful problem solver.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills• Experience with advanced analytics and data visualization (e.g. Python, R, Tableau) is a plus Recent graduates with applicable internship experience and course work will also be considered.
