Exempt/Non-exempt Exempt Status Full Time The City of Saint Charles Human Resources Department is currently recruiting for the position of Content Creator with the Convention and Visitors Bureau. The CVB Content Creator will help develop content across popular social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, and Instagram. Generate updated content and blog posts for www.discoverstcharles.com, write content for the Discover Saint Charles Visitor Magazine, and take photos and videos for use across all platforms. This position will help ensure brand consistency and will work to generate traffic and create communities of loyal brand followers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties required and assigned. Development, maintenance, and performance of the bureau's social media and web platforms Assist in developing, writing, and maintaining content marketing and editorial calendar Post timely, engaging content (planned and unplanned) across channels and platforms Assist with writing, planning, and implementing inbound marketing campaigns, including social media, targeted emails, online advertising and more Create sharable content for digital marketing use, including blog posts, photographs, social media imagery, videos, and more Create engaging article content that inspire residents and travelers alike Photograph the events, places, and people that make Saint Charles a unique destination Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, new systems, trends in digital marketing, and date management Assist the leadership team with the implementation of new projects and facilitate additional responsibilities, as requested Incorporate the use of social media and other emerging trends in the content strategies of the bureau Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs, podcasts, social media, videos for online and social use) Remain flexible to a workload that occasionally requires more than 40 hours/week of work Work with the City's Media Team to create destination videos and programming Produce graphics, as needed, for various projects including PSAs, flyers, postcards, website graphics and other video projects Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions Proven work experience as a Content Creator or Digital media specialist Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Familiarity with web design and content management systems Ability to take and edit destination marketing photography An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines Strong verbal and written communication skills BS degree in Marketing, Digital media or relevant field Additional qualification in web design, graphic design or animation is a plus How to Apply: Online employment applications can be accessed on our City Website: www.stcharlescitymo.gov The City of Saint Charles is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify Job Posted by ApplicantPro
