We are looking for a dynamic, high character and collaborative intern to join our team for the summer of 2023 and beyond. Engineer Intern - ME or ChE - Summer Internship As a short-term member of the FTD Solutions Team, the Engineering Intern will be primarily contributing direct application of first-engineering principles of flow, thermodynamics, and heat transfer to support FTD Solutions' engineering services and software tools development supporting the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers and beyond. This may include tasks like reviewing software outputs, testing software user experience, and providing feedback to product managers for software tools. The Engineering Intern may also support various project engineering functions including research, analysis, calculations, development of models and the presentation and organization of data. The context for mechanical specific projects will be mechanical and major energy consuming facility systems in industrial facilities. Systems include HVAC, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air, process vacuum, exhaust, and abatement devices. Process discipline projects will include mostly ultrapure water and industrial wastewater systems. Project types include feasibility studies, risk analysis, and conceptual design. The Engineering Intern will work as needed with the entire FTD Solutions Team to ensure successful project delivery. The Engineering Intern will report directly to the Senior Energy Project Engineer. Minimum Qualifications: Completion of at least the 3rd year in mechanical or chemical engineering. Location: Remote position, with opportunities meeting in person.
