TETER Architects + Engineers , Central California's premier Architecture and Engineering Firm, is looking for an Electrical Engineer-In-Training to join our team. Specifically, we're looking for a candidate with an interest in specializing in building electrical design - lighting, power distribution, communications, and fire alarm systems. The Engineer-In-Training will perform routine electrical design tasks and calculations; providing drafting and design support; and collaborating with other disciplines to coordinate electrical designs. The successful Electrical Engineer-In-Training must be able to adhere to the Firm's high standards of quality and performance; collaborate with team members; follow instructions thoroughly; grasp concepts with high attention to detail; and apply the basic principles of building codes and standards applicable to electrical design, including the National Electrical Code, California Energy Code, etc. To qualify for consideration, the Engineer-In-Training must possess the following qualifications: - 2-5 years of experience performing electrical design and drafting in a design firm - 4-year college degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field - Earned Electrical Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certificate - Knowledge of basic engineering terminology required - Excellent verbal and written skills required TETER has adopted a hybrid work model with staff in office Tuesday through Thursday, and able to work remotely from home on Mondays and Fridays.
