Responsibilities: ESN is currently looking for a seasoned Cloud Engineer to join a highly motived and skilled team in support of the Navy's Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) program. The Cloud Engineer will often work with the engineering and government team. The Cloud Engineer will also work through each phase of the given system and process, from plan along with expansion to validation and operation, on measurable risk assessment, regularly concentrating on continuous integration, performance, configuration management, Risk Management Framework (RMF) testing, and scheduling. Use AWS to build, deploy, manage, and administer cloud infrastructure designed to deliver complex software products in the MFOM environment. Use AWS to create user, security, and networking configurations in the MFOM environment. Use cloud broker software applications where appropriate to facilitate the distribution of work between different cloud service providers. Develop and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments. Monitoring and configuration management of all installed systems and related infrastructures. Establish, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools. Install, test, and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools. Evaluate the existing systems and provide the technical direction to support staff. Plan and implement systems automation as required for better efficiency. Participate in formulating and designing the security system in place to maintain ATOs. Oversee the constant availability of technical resources. Maintain and supervise the inventory. Experience and Education Requirements: BS degree in engineering physics, Network Security, Information Systems or Computer Science. Fifteen (15) years of experience in US Navy maintenance, logistics, and business systems projects to include: Engineering, Systems Analysis, Information Assurance, Requirements analysis, SQL Database Administration, Software Installation, System Administration, Release Management and System Architecture support. Note: Experience may be concurrent. Advanced degree(s) substitute for experience is acceptable. Apart from an essential degree, the Cloud Engineer is required to have knowledge and experience in:Git/Jenkins/SplunkPerformance tuning of integrated systemsCloud experienceExperience with virtualization viz. VMware, Virtual BoxNetwork experience TCP/IPConfiguration managementHBSS policyACAS Scanning One of the following certifications is required:o Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)o Cisco Certified Network Associateo CompTIA A+o Network+o Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)o Network+o Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Skills and Abilities: The Cloud Engineer should have excellent communication, personal, and governance skills. Conflict resolution, analytical, and decision-making skills are vital to the position equally.The top core skills for this position is integration, configuration management, innovation, and CI/CD. Additional Requirements: US Citizenship required. DoD SECRET Security Clearance or the ability to reactivate a DoD SECRET clearance held within the past 24 months.
