We are expanding and on a mission to find an experienced Senior 3D CAD Designer who will be an essential part of our team. You will work closely with Sales, Engineering and Project Management teams to assist with concept layouts, general arrangements for system equipment, and detailed fabrication and installation drawings. Something About the Position The Senior 3D CAD Designer will report to the Manager of Engineers and offers plenty of growth for the right ambitious individual. Here's a sampling of what you might encounter on an average day, but as with any other business, our needs evolve daily. Prepare detail fabrication drawings for the various products and projects. Assist sales team with estimating foundation requirements for specified equipment. Manage and ensure high quality and accuracy of product fabrication through inspection and verification. Partner with and provide development support for our network of fabricators in a continuous improvement format. Maintenance of product libraries and drawings including updates, revisions and engineering change notice (ECNs) Participate in Product development process Assist as needed in the generation of proposals, quotes, and sales efforts in areas of unit modification, procuring pricing for specials, generate clarification and approval drawings. Provide quotes for replacement parts, filters, and maintenance items for OEM and aftermarket sales opportunities. Assist in the assembly of maintenance manuals, support documentation, incidental delivery and field install support. Ensure compliance with all safety standards. Skills You Need to Bring With You From a technical perspective, our ideal candidate will bring the following skills & experience with them: 5 years (minimum) construction and/or plant engineering experience. Estimating experience is a plus. Must have experience in Inventor iLogic or Excel VBA. Ability to navigate Autodesk applications including AutoCAD, Vault, Revit, Robot & Inventor 3D modeling. Strong written and verbal communication and other relationship-building skills Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Able to manage several tasks simultaneously Ability to work independently or as part of a team Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor and Microsoft products including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. Available for travel to project sites Something About our Team We're a collaborative group, getting things done together and enjoy working with each other.
