Weekend Server/Breakfast Attendant

SUMMARY: To ensure quality guest service to all guests in the hotel breakfast/hospitality area. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Provide prompt, professional and courteous service to patrons. Arranges buffet food service as required by the brand. Maintains a clean and orderly workstation. Cleans tables of all glasses, silver, china, etc. during the scheduled shift. Completes all assigned side work throughout scheduled shift. Greets and continually monitors to ensure quality guest satisfaction. Informs supervisor of guest comments/complaints. Sets up and breaks down of tables Must wear required uniform. Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Performs other duties as assigned by management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLIITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: One-year certificate from college or technical school; high school dipoma or GED; or three to six months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. TRAINING NEEDS: Training in providing quality guest service, training in proper techniques. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are to representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear.
