Control Room Support Operator - C Shift

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor the Support Operator position is responsible for assisting the Control Room Operator in the area of green bean receiving, roasting, grinding, quality assurance, sanitation and general housekeeping, and preventive maintenance. ACCOUNTABILITIES Assist Control Room Operator in scheduling of receiving, roasting and grinding including quality parameters, managing bins to maximize capacity and production efficiency. Perform all quality assurance requirements and documentation including but not limited to color, moisture, density, grind analysis, and calibration of equipment. Perform and document all necessary HACCP checks. Communicate issues in control room to Control Room Operator and other departments as necessary. Assist Control Room Operator with thermal cleaning of roaster, cleaning of pelletizer, and dust collection system cleaning. Provide relief to green bean operators when needed. Perform master sanitation, housekeeping, rework and preventative maintenance duties as needed. Perform duties in accordance to the Standard Operating Procedures including safety checklist, equipment pre-start checklists, GMP, cleaning and food safety. Member of a processing team to deliver KPI's covering safety, quality, output, cost and waste and participate in projects to improve upon targets. Ensure compliance with all company guidelines, policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent and previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Current applicable forklift certification as well as JLG lifts qualification. Proficient in roasting and grinding operations. Overall knowledge of control room operations and sequence of events including Control Room Operations, Green Bean Receiving Operations and Packaging lines. Excellent mechanical aptitude with trouble shooting and analytical abilities. Must be familiar with all machines sensors, emergency buttons and safety features. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors. Willing to work cooperative in a team environment. Must be computer literate. Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge is a plus. Must have a demonstrated history of safe work habits.
