GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:The position of Faculty in Nursing at Northland Pioneer College is based on a 9-month commitment for thestandard academic year, and consists of teaching a minimum of 30 credit loads per year: live, hybrid, or online viathe institution's learning management system. Responsibilities include supporting NPC's values: 1) quality learningenvironment, 2) diversity and accessibility, 3) integrity and accountability, and 4) collaboration toward success; aswell as upholding the mission of providing, supporting, and promoting life-long learning.Faculty teach courses in the accredited undergraduate pre-licensure Nursing program and support Quality andSafety in Nursing (QSEN) and Nurse of the Future (NOF) models of nursing education, as well as teach othercourses for which they are qualified and assigned; teach in a variety of environments and modes (team-taughtofferings, day offerings, evening offerings, online offerings, hybrid offerings, etc.) in accordance with courseoutlines and instructional procedures; integrate technology with instruction; assess students in light of theinstitution goals, program goals, and course objectives; maintain appropriate scheduled office hours; provideservice to the department, division, college, and community as assigned by the supervising department chair, deanor elected by peers; develop good working relationships with discipline-related professionals in the College'sService area; collaborate and participate in AZTransfer to foster transferability opportunities; serve as a communityresource in area of expertise; be active in one's field of expertise; travel within the College district.
