Field Service Technician Hours: Monday- Friday 8AM to 5:00PM, evenings as needed, weekend rotations, holidays as needed Travel: 10% overnight travel (includes meal per diem & travel expense coverage) This position will report to our Joplin, Missouri location and will focus on customers primarily located in the Miami, OK general service area. This role serves as the "face of Wisper" in the communities where we provide service by installing new service for customers, offering customer education, assistance with connecting customer devices to their wireless internet and troubleshooting existing service as needed. Our Field Service Technicians are exposed to variety on a daily basis: working hands-on with tools, configuring technology, climbing ladders and roofs in all weather conditions and driving to various jobs throughout our network each work day. We provide our techs with paid ongoing training, opportunities for advancement, tools and dedicated work vehicles.We are a fixed-wireless internet provider located in Mascoutah, Illinois which provides service in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. Essential Job Functions •Perform Site Surveys to determine serviceability•Install new service for customers•Diagnose & troubleshoot connectivity problems•Configure routers & customer devices as needed•Perform equipment upgrades for existing customers•Electronically transfer equipment to customer locations to ensure accurate tracking of equipment•Keep accurate & current inventory & vehicle maintenance logs•Maintain company-issued assets including tools, equipment & vehicles•Provide highest level of customer experience in all interactions with customers•Safely drive company vehicle while utilizing most efficient routes•Other related duties as directed Job Requirements •High School diploma or equivalent•Successful completion of industry certifications as needed(Ex: SBCA, SAS, etc)•Current valid Driver's License •Ability to drive a vehicle without presenting a safety risk to self or others •Ability to be added to Company auto insurance policy •Regular & predictable attendance required- Standard minimum 40 hour work week•Must be comfortable working on roofs, at varying heights & in tight spaces •Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future •Must pass a background check, MVR & drug screen Desired Skills & Competencies •Installation experience in related field/wireless internet is highly valued• Comfortable & professional working in customer homes•Ability to communicate effectively & professionally with customers•Willingness to think "outside of the box" on site locations•Safety Conscious•Enjoy working in all weather conditions•Enjoy working with hands & learning new technology•Experienced & comfortable using hand & power tools•Must demonstrate personal accountability; be punctual for appointments & meetings Working Conditions •Fast-paced environment with multiple changes to schedules & fluctuating priorities •Work is performed primarily outdoors & in all weather conditions •Work is performed at various roof-top heights & in tight spaces Physical Requirements: Light: Lifting 0-10 lbs.
