Material Handler Starting Pay Rate $19.50-$23.50 Shift Available 1st Shift (Mon - Thurs 5:00 am- 3:20 pm) 2nd Shift (Mon - Thurs 3:00 pm - 1:20 am) Job Description Your typical day may include: Placing and retrieving product from appropriately designated areas via forklift and other material handling equipment throughout facilities to ensure that production and customer needs are met. May involve the receipt of incoming material/product, and may load and unload trucks. Skilled in reading and implementing work instructions and/or shipping documents. May measure, weigh, blend, mark, label, count, track, record, inspect, package, and palletize a wide variety of products or materials. Checks forklift and other equipment periodically for proper operation and may perform routine maintenance and cleaning. Inspects for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications. Responsible for quality of work and appropriately resolve unusual operating conditions. Routinely drives a fork truck. May assemble, pack and/or package a wide variety of products or materials. All other duties as assigned. Ideal Candidate Typically requires : A high School Diploma or equivalent, read and understand English language work Instructions, computer experience, independent decision making, and effective self-management. Minimum Education: Reading and understanding English language work instructions Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum Skills/Experience: Effective computer use. Basic Math skills. 6 months of fork truck experience. independent decision-making, and effective self-management. Preferred Skills/Experience: Above plus - 1-year forklift experience in a warehouse setting, strong Computer, and math skills Functional Requirements Routinely able to: Manually lift and move product and materials up to 55 lbs. through regular physical exertion, including but not limited to reach forward, reach overhead, lift, carry, crouch, and bend Power grip and wrist turn, including the use of hand tools and/or steering fork truck Walk, sit, or stand for up to 12 hours with intermittent breaks Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
