Tier: 1 Department: Boys & Girls Club Supervisor: Director of Operations Location: 15424 K Road Mayetta, KS 66509 Typical pay: $15.62/hour (1) On-Call Contact Position available Contract dates: ASAP-12/31/23 (Yearly Renewals with Director's approval) Must be available for on-call needs between the hours of: School in-session: M-F, 10:30A-7:00P and Summer: M-F, 8:30A-5:00P and available as needed to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the position Preference in employment actions exercised in accordance with applicable law. Applicants must provide proof of eligibility for preference. Questions before applying? 785-966-XXXX SUMMARY: The Program Assistant will work to achieve individual program objectives based on current grant requirements. The Program Assistant will implement programs, supervise youth who participate in Club activities and help to maintain a safe and positive Club environment. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Must be at least 18 years of age High School diploma or GED One year of experience with youth development or leadership Willingness to acquire CPR, First Aid & Lifeguard certifications within first week of employment Must have a valid Kansas Driver's License and be insurable with the Nations insurance within 90 days of hire Must possess basic knowledge of youth development Previous experience working with children in a group setting Ability to interact and motivate youth and manage behavior problems Ability to communicate and deal with the general public Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth Ability to organize and supervise BGC members in a safe environment Must possess excellent team player & leadership skills Ability to operate general office equipment Must possess professional work ethics, manner, and appearance High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situation and documentation Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality Must possess ability to communicate professionally; both orally and in writing a service-orientated approach, sometimes in stressful circumstances Must be available for on-call needs during the hours of M-F , After School program: 11:30am-8:00pm & Summer or when school is out: 8:30am-5:00pm.
