Required Competencies: A fundamental core value to "do it once, do it right". We are motivated to find individuals who can find creative approaches to work with others and achieve a common goal while balancing budget, schedule, and quality. 3-10 years overseeing civil, mechanical and/or electrical sub-contractors. Previous field leadership on utility scale solar projects is highly desirable, but a relevant general contracting site management background is acceptable. A minimum requirement of OSHA 10 certification. OSHA 30 certification and beyond is highly desirable. Safely operate equipment such as skid steers, fork lifts, etc. on active construction sites. Ability to read construction drawings. Ability to understand a project schedule (relationships, critical path, etc). Ability to review trade partner concerns, address those concerns, and document decisions made. Ability to properly communicate via phone, text, and email. Willingness to learn, grow, and refine our processes. Responsibilities Include: Serve as the primary site contact for the project at all times. Consistently ensure the project site is safe and secure. Ensure all trade partners and LightEdison tradesmen are working safely on site. Complete daily reports with full descriptions and photos. Ensure trade partners and LightEdison tradesmen are working safely, efficiently, and in line with project schedule expectations. Provide weekly toolbox talks to all trade partners and self perform tradesmen working on site. Monitor and coordinate to ensure Portajohns, Forklifts, Connexes, Office Trailers are delivered and maintained. Ensure project erosion and sediment controls (SWPPP) are in place and effective. Coordinate repairs by the responsible party to address SWPPP inspection comments. Create and update site logistics plans to illustrate changing conditions on site and coordinate delivery of materials. Coordinate with logistics coordinators and other project staff to verify conditions on site and set deliveries. Receive project deliveries. This may include operating machinery to offload deliveries at times. Check in deliveries using the Delivery receipt form. Document all damaged products and store them properly on site. Coordinate returns as needed. Document deficiencies, following up on progress to correct deficiencies, documenting repair of deficiencies. Proactively focus on critical path activities within the project schedule and understand how delays may impact the overall project schedule. Assist in project schedule updates. Providing project updates at company meetings. Coach others on what you do know and ask others for advice on what you do not know. Never be afraid to ask a question or lean on your team. Alert the project team to issues in real time using illustrations and provide proposed solutions. Assist with creation of RFIs, review of key submittals, and review cost proposals as needed to ensure all impacts (cost and schedule) are captured.
