T he C otton w ood H ei g h t s' Culture Coordinator works closely with the Culture Manager on Events and Arts Council budgets, overseeing and tracking expenditures, and reporting. Ensures the Arts Council is following all city policies and ordinances. Provides options for vendors and suppliers; verifies accuracy of invoices and respective payments. Ensures that grant applications are submitted appropriately and that all contracts follow the city's procurement policies and procedures. Assists the Culture Manager with the production the yearly play. Responsibilities may include any or all of the following: develops a play budget; ensures that all aspects of the production are completed within budget; secures the rights to present the play; assists with the development and hiring of a production team; schedules rehearsals and performances; sets the rehearsal venue; informs team of production agreements and rental use policies; develops and maintains the overall production schedule; arranges for rehearsal space, audition space and/or production meetings. Performs other duties as assigned. Th e Culture Coordinator i s a full - ti m e , b e n e f i tt e d p o s it i o n in t h e Records, Culture and Human Resources De p a r t m ent. Candidates with play production and writing experience, as well as knowledge in social media and Canva, will be given preference. The position requires flexibility with their schedule, which would include a mix of weekday business hours, nights, and weekends for volunteer meetings, play productions (both rehearsals and performances), open houses, and other arts-related events and city activities.
