Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, Work on-site at our headquarters in Lewisville, North Carolina. About the Position: Kaplan Early Learning Company is looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer to join a cross-functional Agile team that is responsible for developing and implementing new applications, enhancements, and interfaces to support business and customer needs. The ideal candidate will have outstanding problem-solving skills and be adept at learning new systems and technologies easily. It's an exciting time to be part of the Kaplan Early Learning Company team as we look to upgrade, replace, and expand our legacy systems with the new technology needed to support our growth and expand our business. Position Responsibilities include: Working with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions. Designing client-side and server-side architecture. Building the front-end of applications through appealing visual design. Developing and managing well-functioning databases and applications. Testing software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency. Troubleshooting, debugging and upgrading software. Creating security and data protection settings. Building features and applications with a mobile responsive design. Writing technical documentation. Work with analysts to improve solutions. Position Requirements Include: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field. 3+ years of working experience with the following: Designing user interactions on web applications Design for cross-platform compatibility and optimization Design for responsive design applications Creating web sites using HTML, CSS and Javascript Creating web applications using PHP PHP code using REST and/or SOAP calls, JSON, XML SQL including creating stored procedures. Apache Using IDEs (e.g., Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, PhpStorm, etc.) Excellent communication skills. Sense of urgency to deliver great service in a team environment. Experience working on teams with both technical and non-technical members. Willingness to learn additional programming languages or platform technologies to support project goals. Experience with the following would be considered an advantage: AWS and other cloud solutions e-Commerce platform (Shopify) Email development and testing tools CRM Marketing Automation Google Analytics Used GIT Source Control Familiar with Agile Methodologies JQuery, Angular, Bootstrap Java, Springboot Net Front end testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, LambdaTest, Jasmine, etc.) Back-end testing frameworks (e.g., Junit, PHPUnit, Cucumber, etc.) Confluence and Jira Collaborative design tools like Sketch and Figma Vaccination status not required.
